This piece is inspired by the skin trauma left by war. In the aftermath, as the cosmetic surgery industry rapidly emerged, humanity began using technology to repair the body and redefine the concept of beauty. Clothing, as the second skin, also becomes part of this discourse on reconstruction. Through non-conforming alterations to the garment’s structure, the work explores the tension between destruction and repair, emphasizing that the reconstructed skin and reshaped human form need not be concealed, but can embody a different kind of beauty—one that is born from trauma and rebirth.
